This is a list of frequently asked questions, just as the rest of the service it's a work in progress so expect more to come and the current ones to be updated over time.



1. I like XBLFF, can I help some way?
Sure, there's a lot you can do!
- get the word out so to bring more people to the service and make it more accurate
- find and report typos and grammar mistakes
- leave comments and suggestions of any kind including new features you'd like to see
- if you speak some language other than english, italian, dutch, please contact me for translation, it'll be quick and easy

2. I don't like XBLFF at all, it's a waste of time
That's ok, send me and email with the gamertag you want to be removed from the service and miss all the fun

3. I always get poor results, what's the point of friends finder?
The point is Friend Finder is a service in progress and can only get better

4. Why can't I just get the top 10 results for me or something?
1- look above
2- XBLFF can fail and it will. I can't tell you that put some gamertag here will be your best friend on xbox live, I can tell you what I see and give you suggestions, 3 at a time

5. XBL Friends Finder? You serious??
Yeah, sort of.. The whole project was born more as a joke, it should be you to choose who you want to hang out with while gaming! As of now, however, it has helped me and many more people to find out gaming habits of other gamers and find some new good friends.

6. May I know how you calculate this compatibility?
Coming up with a formula from scratch to tell if two people can be "friends" it's not that easy of a task, you know? Results are currently being monitored, an slightly adjusted everyday. In a near future, I'm definitely gonna tell you more about it
For now, I can tell you what parameters are involved in the formula: country, gamerzone, gamerscore, games played and games "preference".

7. How do you get all this info about me?
Microsoft set up a program for so-called "Xbox Community Developers" and since I was so lucky enough to get in, I have access to a bit of Xbox Live related info.

8. Did you build the Friend Finder all on your own?
I started it, then I made it grow with my good buddy Squidpunch over at 360FriendSpot, until February 2008, when I got in charge of the development again.

9. So how many friends can I find with it?
As I'm writing, over 95.000 different Xbox Live gamertags are registered with the service and could start filling your friend list, so go and see for yourself!

10. Is there any female gamer in the service?
Sure thing. And no, I'm not gonna tell you who they are. Just keep searching
